How can I get tickets to Le Dîner en Blanc Canberra?
Ticketing takes place in 3 phases:
1st Release: Members that attended the previous Edition
NB: Invitation are emailed to Members of the previous edition in priority for the 1st Ticket Release.
2nd Release: Friends "sponsored" by ticketed Members
NB: Members can sponsor friends who will receive invitations to the 2nd Ticket Release.
3rd Release: People who register on the Waiting List
NB: If you have never attended the event, please register on the Waiting List at https://register.dinerenblanc.com/canberra/en/register , you will receive an invitation for the 3rd Ticket Release.

How much does it cost to attend Le Dîner en Blanc - Canberra?
A: Tickets are only sold in pairs. There are 2 Ticket Categories:
1) TRANSPORT BYO $78 pp + $15 pp (booking fee)
2) TRANSPORT RENTAL $95 pp + $15 pp (booking fee)
TRANSPORT means this group will be taking some form of chartered transport (Bus or Ferry) from the departure point to the secret location and also have to walk to the secret location (250m max.)
BYO means this group will bring their furniture i.e. 2 x foldable chairs and 1 x foldable square table (60cm to 80cm max.) as well as all their table settings (crockery, cutlery, etc…) – See Packing List BYO
RENTAL means this group will have their tables and chairs already set up at the secret location – IMPORTANT – RENTAL groups still need to bring their table settings including napery (white table cloth & 2 x white napkins) – See Packing List RENTAL
*For egress and depending on the location, there is access to public transport, Uber and taxis.

What MUST I bring to the event?
The PACKING LIST is an essential part of Dîner en Blanc:
BYO GROUPS PACKING LIST:
1 square folding table (60cm to 80cm max.), 2 white folding chairs, 1 white tablecloth, 2 white serviettes, picnic equipment for 2 including cutlery, an Ice bucket, polycarbonate* glassware, plates and table decorations like votive candles (for al fresco dinning), bottle opener, ice bucket, flowers… (your taste and imagination are the boundaries), garbage bag(s) and a LIGHTER. Strictly no disposable cutlery or plates.
RENTAL GROUPS PACKING LIST:
1 white tablecloth, 2 white serviettes, picnic equipment for 2 including cutlery, an Ice bucket, polycarbonate* glassware, plates and table decorations like votive candles (for al fresco dinning), bottle opener, ice bucket, flowers… (your taste and imagination are the boundaries), garbage bag(s) and a LIGHTER. Strictly no disposable cutlery or plates.
* To avoid potential accidents and littering of broken glass, ACT Licensing Police have demanded that guests bring non-disposable polycarbonate wine glassware.

What about CATERING?
: All catering can be pre-ordered online
FOOD : 1) You can pre-order one of our delicious hamper for 2 from the online store
2) You can bring your own food as long as it is a minimum 3 course meal – NO DELIVERIES TO THE EVENT LOCATION OF UBER EATS/DELIVEROO or the likes
BEVERAGES: Strictly NO BYO drinks (Alcoholic or not). Le Dîner en Blanc is an over 18 years old Licenced event.
*The online store closes permanently a week prior to the event. There are no cash bars at the event so WE RECOMMEND YOU PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

How do I buy and collect my catering order?
For your convenience and as there is much to bring to the event, the majority of guests prefer to pre-order one of the delicious picnic hampers prepared by one of the city’s premier caterers. Once you are ticketed to attend, you can access the e-store by logging on to your member profile. Once on the e-store, you can choose from our delicious hamper selection and carefully curated wine list. Process your payment and you will be emailed a receipt confirming your itemized purchases. Bring your receipt (PRINTED or ACCESSIBLE ON YOUR PHONE) to collect your purchases at the venue. You will not be able to collect your catering without a proof of purchase.

How do I download and print my catering receipt?
Please check your emails first to find your purchase confirmation and receipt.
If not there, login to your member profile, click on “Store” then click “download” and print your receipt.
You can also collect your catering purchases with your receipt accessible on your phone. Please note that without a proof of purchase, you will not be able to collect your items.

What is the dress-code?
Simple ALL guests must dress in white from head to toe. This means no ivory, no off-white, and no beige… No black and/or brown belts or shoes allowed. Originality is always encouraged, as long as it stays stylish and tasteful.

Will members that attended the last event be automatically re-invited?
Yes. Only Members receive the invitation, their table companions don’t.

I was a member’s guest/table companion at the last Le Dîner en Blanc Canberra, will I be automatically invited to the next event?
No, only members receive the invitation. You may return this year with the same person, or get a member to sponsor you, or sign up to the waiting list.

What are the key rules of the event?
Le Dîner en Blanc requires from its guests an exemplary citizenship and discipline. Here are the main guidelines:
A friendly, convivial and festive attitude is A MUST
Elegance … in white. Originality is encouraged, as long as it remains elegant and tasteful.
Bring your own table settings (crockery, cutlery, napery, etc..)
Always follow the Volunteer Leader’s instructions.
Arrive and leave with your Leader. Nobody arrives at the site on their own.
Drink responsibly. Champagne or wine only. No spirits or beer are available on the online store.
No cash bar on site.
Clean up: Take all your garbage with you and clean the area around your table.
Rain or shine, guests are expected.

My guest can no longer attend. What should I do?
You are able to change the name of your guest up until a week before the event. To do so, login to your member profile. Once in, double-click on the guest name field/box, when box opens, change the name of your guest and then, take the pointer outside of the field/box and double-click to validate.

What is Le Dîner en Blanc - Canberra’s alcohol policy?
STRICTLY NO BYO DRINKS (alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages). Le Dîner en Blanc Canberra reserves the right to conduct random bag searches on entry. If caught, you will be refused entry or if caught inside the event, escorted out. You will not be invited to following editions. DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T WARN YOU... We also apply a ZERO tolerance policy towards aggressive and uncontrolled drunken behaviour.

Can I purchase one ticket and attend the event alone?
No, tickets are only sold in pairs (per table). Attendees sit opposite each other at the table.
Only members receive our correspondence so make sure to pass on the information to your friends.

I want to choose a group and departure location that is already full. What should I do?
Each group and departure location has a specific number of spaces and; once those are filled, you need to select a different location.

What is a Table Leader (TL)?
Also known as Pedestrian or Bus Leader, a Table Leader (TL) is responsible for a group of 50 guests and is the primary point of contact for members for the event.

What is a Group Leader (GL)?
A Group Leader (GL) is responsible for 5 Table Leaders. Group Leaders work closely with the hosts and the table leaders to ensure the success of the event.

What items are prohibited to bring to Le Dîner en Blanc?
Glass, cans, alcohol, soft drinks of any kind, illegal drugs, milk/bread crates, weapons of any kind, fireworks, fire twirling devices, warning flares, balloons of any kind (balloons filled with glitter and confetti are the worst), laser lights, umbrellas (use a poncho or a raincoat instead), water pistols, any other items considered illegal or dangerous.

Why is glass prohibited?

What kind of table do I need to bring?
The table must be square, foldable, and easy to carry. The size must be between 60cm and 80cm. The table does not have to be white as it will be covered with a white tablecloth.
The use of SQUARE folding tables optimizes the use of space at the site and also contributes to the visual harmony of Le Dîner en Blanc by creating rows of long banquet tables.

Is Le Dîner en Blanc associated with a humanitarian or social cause?
Le Dîner en Blanc has no political or ideological agendas. It is simply a friendly gathering whose sole purpose is to create a magical evening, where guests are in good company, and in an environment, which is both unusual and extraordinary. Le Dîner en Blanc may not be associated with, or used as a means to raise funds for, another organization.

Will the event be postponed in case of adverse weather conditions?
Le Dîner en Blanc is a rain or shine event. Each guests’ presence is necessary and mandatory, regardless of the weather. In case of rain, guests must remember to bring a white or transparent raincoat, poncho and/or umbrella. However, if public safety becomes an issue due to severe weather (ex. thunderstorms, floods, bush fires…), the event organisers may be forced to postpone the event. In case of postponement, an alternate date will be confirmed as soon as possible.
